8.00am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.00am-1.00pm on Fridays.

Salary

£18 - £21 per hour

A skilled CNC Miller Setter is required for a major supplier to high‑tech companies in the UK’s Oxford / Cambridge Arc of Innovation and Technology. Supplying to Nuclear fusion, Space Technologies, Medical innovation, F1 and many other demanding industries.

We are seeking a skilled candidate with experience of multi‑axis CNC Machining.

Responsibilities

Your duties include :

  • CNC Machining and setting
  • Operation of 3‑, 4‑ & 5‑axis CNC milling machines
  • Performing CMM inspection and production of inspection reports when required
  • Using initiative to improve quality / throughput, etc. Working to scheduled lists
  • Operate within a 5's manufacturing environment and to ISO 9001:2015 quality standards
Experience
  • Demonstrable experience of Fanuc controls or similar (but not essential)
  • Experience of working with a variety of materials to tight tolerances
  • Thorough experience of multi‑axis CNC machining
  • Use of inspection tools and CMM desirable (Aberlink)
  • Thorough experience of reading & interpreting component drawings and instructions, working to high quality standards
  • Programming – advantageous
