Your new role

As a CNC Maintenance Electrician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing operations. Working on-site in Washington, Tyne & Wear, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing CNC machinery and associated electrical systems. This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical expertise and adaptability across three rotating shifts:

  • Early: 6:00am - 1:40pm
  • Late: 1:25pm - 9:05pm
  • Night: 9:00pm - 4:00am (4 nights only)
What you'll need to succeed
  • Essential: Time-served Electrician with a completed 4-year apprenticeship (HNC / HND desirable)
  • 17th / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
  • Proven experience working on CNC machines in an industrial environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Safety certifications (e.g., IOSH, Working at Height, MEWP licence, Confined Space)
  • Desirable :
  • HV / LV Switching experience
  • Testing & Inspection (C&G 2391)
  • Familiarity with industrial robots (Fanuc / ABB)
  • PLC knowledge and troubleshooting skills
