Job summary

A precision engineering company is seeking a CNC Machinist - Setter / Operator to join their team in Great Houghton. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating a variety of CNC machines, reading engineering drawings, and producing parts with precision. Ideally, they will have over 3 years of CNC experience, good attention to detail, and the ability to work to strict deadlines. This permanent role offers competitive pay, an attendance bonus, and 23 days of holiday, increasing to 26 days with service.

CNC Machinist - Setter / Operator

Location: Brackmills, Northampton

Turbo Technics is a precision engineering company with over 40 years of experience in the turbocharger industry. We are looking for a new team member to join our busy machine shop.

The Role
  • Setting and operating a variety of CNC machines
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings
  • Producing parts safely, accurately, and efficiently
  • Working with a range of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, plastics, and nickel iron
  • Inspecting parts using micrometers, verniers, and other measuring equipment
  • Following all company policies and procedures
About You
  • Ideally 3+ years' experience in a similar CNC role (training will be provided)
  • Logical and organised, with good attention to detail
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and use your initiative
Hours & Benefits
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7:30am - 1:30pm
  • Excellent rates of pay (dependent on experience)
  • Attendance bonus scheme
  • Holidays: 23 days + 8 bank holidays (rising by 1 day per year to a maximum of 26 days + bank holidays)
