Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is looking for a skilled Machinist for a permanent role at TATA Steel in Corby. Candidates must hold a time-served Mechanical Apprenticeship and an NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering. You will perform machining tasks on various machines and ensure adherence to Health and Safety regulations. Qualifications

• Experience within manual operation of lathes, boring, grinding, and milling machinery.
• Capability to complete manual tasks up to 25kg in weight.
• Previous experience working within a safe system of work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out machining work on a range of machines.
• Manufacture items to a high standard from existing drawings.
• Support with Apprentice training.

Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Sound knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation

Education
