CNC Machinist - Milling & Turning

📍 Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire

💷 Pay: £15.00 - £18.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking to join a forward-thinking, quality-driven team?

We're looking for a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in Milling and Turning, programming with SolidWorks and CAD, and ideally working with aluminium components.

This is a full-time, permanent, on-site role offering early Friday finishes and excellent company benefits.

Key Duties
  • Program CNC machines using SolidWorks and CAD software
  • Set up and operate CNC Milling and Turning machinery
  • Produce high-quality precision components, mainly in aluminium
  • Inspect completed parts against technical drawings and specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance and resolve machine issues
  • Collaborate with engineers to improve machining processes
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist (Milling & Turning)
  • Proficient in CNC programming (SolidWorks and CAD)
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and toolingExperience with Haas and Mazak machines (advantageous)
  • Good mechanical knowledge and confident using hand tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to work both independently and within a team
Education
  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Working Hours

Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30

Friday: 07:30 - 12:30 (half day!)

Additional Info

Pay is based on experience. Candidates with all listed skills and experience will be offered the higher rate. If you meet most of the criteria and are capable of performing the role, you may start on the lower rate, with the opportunity to progress to the higher rate following training.
