Role

We are seeking a CNC Machine Technician, to increase our capability / capacity in this area, working on small batch work.

This role involves working in a small team to deliver high quality transmission components, mainly for the motorsport / aerospace industries, with a right first-time philosophy.

Key Competencies and Experience
  • Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and planning route cards to produce components to a high standard within routed timeframes
  • Experience operating the following gear manufacturing machines:
  • Gleason GP300 ES Shaping Machine
  • Gleason-Pfauter 200 Hobbing Machine
  • Liebherr LC20 Hobbing Machine
  • Strong knowledge of cutting spur gears, helical gears, and splines using hobs and gear data provided in drawings
  • Able to read, understand, and edit programmes, including modifying speeds and feeds as necessary
  • Demonstrates a proactive and innovative approach to supporting the team, with a focus on problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Flexible in supporting other areas of manufacturing when required
  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet delivery deadlines
