Job description
About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Trial Monitor to join the Imperial Research Governance and Integrity Team (RGIT), to facilitate research activity of the Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC) and Imperial College Research Governance and Integrity Team (RGIT).

You will report directly to the RGIT Clinical Trials Manager, and work with them to provide administrative and operational support, in partnership with other members of the RGIT, to ensure that all IMP Clinical Trials are managed in line with the sponsorship requirements and regulations.

The RGIT is primarily based at White City with travel to other Trust and College sites.

What you would be doing

As Clinical Trial Monitor, you will be the first point of contact for researchers requiring trial monitoring support in the AHSC/College. You will also act as a liaison between the AHSC and its partners and collaborators in NHS Trusts, charities, research councils, pharmaceutical companies, and other industrial organisations to facilitate the set-up and coordination of monitoring provisions for AHSC-sponsored clinical trials.

You will have a role in developing and supporting the research governance systems required throughout the AHSC/College.

What we are looking for

You will have a strong knowledge of clinical trial regulations and related compliance systems, experience of clinical trial management and coordination, and an understanding of trial-related issues, with the ability to offer advice and support on trial monitoring. A science or medical master’s degree, or equivalent research experience, as well as evidence of GCP training, is required. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and be highly organised. This role requires the post-holder to work on their own initiative and have the ability to manage several projects at once.
