Overview

The Institute seeks to appoint a Clinical Skills Laboratory Technician to assist the Laboratory manager in providing teaching and technical support to staff and students within the Institute of Dentistry to contribute to an outstanding student learning experience.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Laboratory manager in providing teaching and technical support to staff and students within the Institute of Dentistry.
About You
  • Academic/vocational qualification (GCSE, NVQ, City & Guilds) OR the equivalent in experience.
  • Able to relate to and provide courteous assistance to academics, researchers, students and other technicians.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team; flexible and professional attitude.
  • Good organisational, planning, numerical skills and computer literacy are essential.
  • Desirable: experience of health and safety regulations, working in a dental team or lab, with knowledge of set up and consumables an advantage.

The post is located on the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) appointment, with an expected start date of November 2025. The starting salary is Grade 2, (£29,818 - £32,515 per annum), inclusive of London Allowance.
