Job description
Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Secretary position within Older People Care Unit. The post is based within the Younger Onset Dementia Service. This role is for an experienced professional secretary who can work flexibly, prioritise, and act on own initiative. The main duties are to provide efficient and comprehensive reception, secretarial and administrative support to the medical and clinical team within the Younger Onset Dementia Service during core hours of 8am to 5pm.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality reports with agreed deadlines.
  • Diary management and message taking.
  • Facilitate meetings, investigations, and disciplinaries when required.
  • Ensure patient referrals are processed in a timely manner.
  • Provide an efficient and comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the medical and clinical team within the Younger Onset Dementia Service.
  • Work flexibly to ensure office cover when needed.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. DBS costs: £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), deducted over the first 2 months. You are encouraged to enrol in the DBS Update Service (annual fee £16).
