Overview

Clinical Practice Educator- Cancer
The Wilmslow Hospital, Cheshire with occasional travel to London and Manchester. Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Shifts: Monday - Friday. Fixed Term Contract 12 months. Salary: Competitive (DOE).

We're looking for a Clinical Practice Educator to join our Cancer team at The Wilmslow and The Christie Private Hospital, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The CPE actively collaborates in the orientation/onboarding process for nursing and other healthcare staff. This includes participating or leading the development, coordination, managing, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating onboarding and orientation programmes.
  • Design and deliver professional practice and provision of quality care within the Cancer department.
  • The CPE must promote and integrate evidence-based practice (EBP) in order to continuously improve practice in the clinical setting. In addition, you will promote research, EBP, and QI into patient care settings.
  • You will collaborate with partners & stakeholders to share experience in planning and decision making to achieve the desired results.
  • Understand nursing department/wards/units results to identify opportunities to support improvement in internal or external customer satisfaction and/or patient experience.
  • Supports strategic planning and business development within the clinical education area of responsibility that may include technology advances and other opportunities to drive differentiation to support the growth agenda.
