Overview
The opportunity has arisen for 2 clinical leads (Band 7) to join the Barking and Dagenham Mental Health and Wellness teams (West and North).
The successful candidate will be a strong team player with at least three years post qualifying experience in a mental health setting. The post holder will deputise for the team manager and be able to autonomously oversee clinical systems and staff. It is essential that applicants have excellent organisational skills and are competent with using computer programmes and databases.
The B&D Mental Health Teams are evolving into the mental Health and Wellness Team in the Community Mental health Transformation. The focus is very much on a team approach with ensuring co production with service users.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Team Manager in the delivery of recovery orientated interventions and evidence based practice by working with a caseload and supervising staff.
- Oversee clinical systems within the team.
- Attend meetings and forums as required by the team manager.
- Work with other seniors on a rota basis to oversee new and urgent referrals to the team.
- Able to deputise for the team manager and work autonomously when appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong team player with at least three years post qualifying experience in a mental health setting.
- Experience of undertaking assessment of complex case, including risk formulation.
- Experience of undertaking complex evidence based interventions that manage high risk.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills working with service users and staff within a demanding multi-disciplinary environment.
- Ability to provide clinical supervision and undertake appraisal and performance reviews with staff.

- High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London: 15% of basic salary (minimum £4,714 and maximum £5,941 per annum, pro rata for part time).
