Clinical Health Care Support Worker, Band 3

We have an exciting opportunity in Stroke Division for both Hatherley Ward which is the Hyper Acute stroke Unit and Woodmancote which is the Rehabilitation ward. We are looking for HCSW - Health Care Support Worker that are passionate about the Stroke.

You will be working in Stroke Division for both Hatherley -(HASU) and Woodmancoate Ward- (Rehab) in Cheltenham General Hospital delivering exceptional care for Stroke patients can expect to receive the highest standards of professional care by all members of the team involved.

Main duties of the job
  • To provide high quality nursing care whilst working within limitations of the role and understanding how to escalte when required.
  • To work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain and develop high standards of care
  • Work proactively to ensure that all patients expectations and needs are met within a timely manner
  • Respond to emergency situations with composure, maintaining patient safety and seeking immediate support whilst supporting the patient, family and other staff as required.
  • The ability to maintain clear, accurate and concise patient records in keeping with departmental and professional standards.
  • Report near misses and untoward incidents, complaints, emergencies, injury or medication efforts via the trust reporting system and assist lead staff in investigating as required.
