Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in the UK is looking for a radiographer to assist in the running of their clinical radiology service. The role offers opportunities for advanced cardiac CT reporting, while maintaining patient care standards. Candidates will have on-call responsibilities as part of a rota and can engage in radiology research during their appointment. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the running of the clinical radiology service under the direction of the Clinical Lead, including thoracic interventional procedures.
  • Gain competence in advanced cardiac CT reporting and thoracic interventional techniques during mutually agreed post duration; level 2 accreditation possible in CMR.
  • Maintain a high standard of patient care at all times; liaise with superintendent radiographers regarding clinical service issues.
  • On‑call responsibility as part of a 1:5 rota.
  • Participate in radiology research and peer‑reviewed publication if mutually agreed post duration and candidate interests allow.

Harefield Hospital is the UK's largest advanced heart and lung failure and cardiothoracic transplant centre and a regional primary angioplasty centre. The radiology department is a regional referral centre for Cardiac CT, MRI and thoracic intervention with two CT scanners, two MRI scanners, two ultrasound machines and a general imaging room with fluoroscopy capability.
