Job summary

A leading health foundation is seeking a Clinical Fellow for Oncology Phase 1 Trials and Advanced Therapies. This 12-month fixed-term role involves supporting clinical trials, engaging in cell therapy, and participating in oncology clinics. Qualifications

Job Summary

Clinical Fellow – Oncology Phase 1 Trials and Advanced Therapies at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Fixed‑term 12 months from Oct 2024 with potential extension.

Responsibilities
  • Support Phase 1 clinical oncology trials, including patient recruitment, assessment, data entry and trial administration.
  • Engage in early‑phase cell therapy and complex immunotherapy trials.
  • Participate in outpatient medical oncology clinics as appropriate.
  • Contribute to translational research collaborations with KHP laboratories.
  • Follow Trust policies and procedures.
  • Clinical governance activities: audit, risk management and governance meetings.
Qualifications
  • Full GMC registration or eligibility for GMC sponsorship.
  • MRCP or equivalent.
  • Four complete years of postgraduate training (or overseas equivalent) in medical oncology.
  • Experience in medical oncology and clinical trials (desired).
  • Proven teaching and audit experience (desirable).
  • Publication in a peer‑reviewed journal and evidence of presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and team‑working skills.
  • Proficient English language (GMC‑approved if overseas).
Professional / Statutory Registration
  • Full GMC registration or eligibility for GMC sponsorship.
  • MRCP or equivalent.
