A leading NHS Trust in the UK is seeking a Clinical Fellow in Medical Retina and Uveitis, offering a 12-month fixed-term position at Bristol Eye Hospital and Weston General Hospital. The role requires prior completion of higher surgical training, ability to conduct intravitreal injections, and experience in treating uveitis. University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) is one of the largest acute Trusts in the country, bringing together a combined workforce of over 13,000 staff and over 100 different clinical services across 10 different sites, serving a core population of more than 500,000 people across South West England.

We are inviting applications for three 12‑month fixed‑term posts at Bristol Eye Hospital (BEH) and Weston General Hospital (WGH), with a projected start date on 5th August 2026, or earlier.
As a highly regarded Regional Centre for Ophthalmology within the Division of Surgery at UHBW, BEH offers a tertiary referral retina service. The integrated medical retina, uveitis, and vitreo‑retinal service works closely with a Clinical Research Unit and a medical imaging department. Clinical research trials are encouraged.
To be considered, candidates should have completed higher surgical training in the UK or hold an equivalent qualification, with previous experience in medical retina, unsupervised retinal laser experience, and expertise in intravitreal injections.
