Lead with Purpose. Care with Heart. Grow with Us!

Set in the vibrant coastal town of Margate, Sandmere Care Home is a modern, purpose-built care home that opened its doors in October 2024. With a glowing 9.9 rating on carehome.co.uk, we’re already being recognised for the compassionate, personalised care that defines who we are.

Now, as we continue to grow and flourish, we’re looking for a Nurse-Qualified Deputy Manager to support our Home Manager in delivering exceptional care, leading by example and nurturing a culture of kindness, quality, and connection.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • A permanent 40-hour contract with a balanced clinical/admin split
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave
  • Paid NMC revalidation, free uniform, DBS, and pension
  • A brand-new home, modern working environment, and a positive team culture from day one
  • Ongoing professional development with the support of a well-established care provider

Why Join Sandmere?
This is a home with heart and a Home Manager with vision. With over 20 years of leadership experience and having successfully commissioned three care homes, our manager brings a calm, supportive and empowering leadership style to Sandmere. You'll be part of a team that feels more like family, where collaboration and clinical excellence go hand in hand.

Your Role:
As Deputy Manager, you’ll take a dual approach to leadership balancing clinical hands-on nursing with strategic, administrative support to ensure the home runs smoothly and safely.

You’ll work two 12-hour shifts on the floor as a Nurse, providing clinical oversight and supporting the team directly, and two 8-hour admin days focusing on governance, compliance, audits, and mentoring.

From developing staff, to supporting families, to ensuring every care plan is as unique as the person it belongs to your role will be pivotal in sustaining our high standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC pin
  • Previous experience in a senior or supervisory care role
  • Confident in clinical governance, care planning and leading by example
  • A strong communicator who can build trust with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Organised, proactive and ready to support the Home Manager with both day-to-day operations and long-term goals

Be Part of Something Special
