This post would suit someone with an interest in trauma and working with adolescent populations. The role includes leadership in developing improved adolescent pathways within EIP and joint working with CAMHS. NELFT EIP is a multidisciplinary team serving people aged 14–65 experiencing a first episode of psychosis and their families. BD EIP has an 8b CP specialising in trauma interventions across the four NELFT EIP boroughs. The service is focused on trauma-informed care, with particular attention to NET and EMDR.

NELFT EI services provide supervision and CPD opportunities, including individual and group supervision in CBTp, and group supervision in FIp and NET, with access to annual NET training. The Trust has strong links with CP courses at UCL, UEL and Royal Holloway. The post holder would be supported to participate in teaching and research projects if they wish.

The Trust is an inclusive employer and welcomes applications from BAME, disabled and LGBT+ candidates. We also welcome applications from current final year training programme students (to complete training by September 2026).

Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and evidence-based interventions for the client group, including individual, group and family work.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team and offer support and supervision on psychological approaches to working with psychosis.
  • Participate in supervision and CPD focused on evidence-based interventions in psychosis; monthly group supervision in FIp.
  • Receive individual supervision and group supervision in CBT for psychosis. The service has practitioners interested in Narrative Exposure Therapy and EMDR among other approaches.
  • Supervise trainee psychologists where appropriate; contribute to teaching and research projects with local clinical training courses.
  • Allocate one session per week for CPD.
  • Be involved in teaching, clinical supervision, and possible supervision of trainee psychologists as part of links with local CP courses.
