Job description

We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual who is an experienced clinical coder to join our friendly team.

The main duties of the job are scanning of letters and coding of documents electronically.

The ideal candidate would be a team player who would thrive on being part of a growing and busy practice with the enthusiasm to play a key part in our plans for the future. Keys qualities include attention to detail, methodical, used to meeting deadlines, well motivated, good interpersonal skills, positive attitude, reliable and have experience of providing effective administrative support at a high level.

Main duties of the job

As a clinical coder you will support the GP's and be part of the team to code, workflow and manage documents to ensure robust record-keeping and accurate patient data.

Processing incoming mail, prioritising for scanning for all patients

Workflow of EDT documents daily to site based Docman

Read coding information into the practice clinical system

Filing and retrieving paperwork

Extraction of necessary data from clinical correspondence and input into electronic patient record

Scanning of letters/emails and relevant correspondence into patients notes
