We have developed a groupwide Digital Service delivering digital services across University Hospitals of Northamptonshire, Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust and Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Working together as a hospital group provides opportunities to deliver benefits beyond what we could achieve as individual organisations, with our Group Digital Strategy guiding the approach to \'do once for both\'. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Group Digital Division as a Clinical Applications Support Analyst. The post holder will contribute to the efficient delivery of a second line support service for clinical and non-clinical applications, focusing on service delivery to internal SLAs. This position is based at Northampton General Hospital. The ability to travel between Kettering General and Northampton General Hospital sites will be required.

Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Applications Support Analyst, you will:

  • Coordinate the Junior Doctors intake, new starters and transfers within the Trust.
  • Contribute to day-to-day system management and user support of electronic patient systems post-implementation, including investigation of systems and technology, fault finding and resolution.
  • Support the team through creation of accounts and configuration of simple changes to the clinical applications.
  • Identify, with stakeholders, any clinical risks associated with the use of Clinical Applications and electronic patient records.
  • Provide technical support and professional advice regarding Clinical Applications.
Role requirements

We are looking for a flexible, self-motivated and organised individual who can prioritise workload and deliver to deadlines. You must be proficient in IT tools, with experience communicating effectively with different stakeholders. Working hours are Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 17:00 on a rota. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly to meet the demands of a 24/7 organisation, and occasionally outside core hours to support configuration changes and system upgrades.
