Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Client Partner with deep Automotive sector expertise to own and expand a multi-million‑pound portfolio of automotive clients. You bring 10+ years of experience, a growth mindset and a drive to make a lasting impact. You will act as the strategic leader and trusted advisor to senior automotive stakeholders—developing long‑term relationships, driving account growth, orchestrating complex multi‑disciplinary teams, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional work across digital experience, commerce, data/AI and enterprise transformation.
Success will include year‑on‑year revenue growth, strengthening key executive relationships, and shaping a long‑term transformation roadmap for priority accounts.
Account Leadership
- Build, nurture and elevate relationships with senior automotive stakeholders, including C‑suite leaders, transformation directors and heads of digital/commerce.
- Act as the senior strategic partner and trusted advisor for key client relationships, providing clear, strategic direction and helping clients navigate digital, technology and organisational transformation.
- Interpret complex client challenges and shape future‑facing digital roadmaps, ensuring alignment with Valtech's capabilities across experience, commerce, data & AI and enterprise transformation.
- Lead executive‑level governance, steer‑co forums and high‑stakes conversations with clarity and authority.
Growth & Revenue Ownership
- Own the commercial performance of your automotive account portfolio—forecasting, revenue management, profitability and long‑term planning.
- Identify and pursue new growth opportunities within existing accounts, including multi‑year programmes and cross‑disciplinary propositions.
- Lead and influence new business opportunities by shaping compelling proposals, win strategies and executive‑level presentations.
- Work with Marketing, Business Development and the Automotive Vertical leadership to strengthen Valtech's presence in the automotive market.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Own and lead account strategy planning—defining priorities, shaping vision and aligning cross‑functional teams behind a shared roadmap.
- Collaborate with strategy, design, technology, data and engineering teams to craft solutions that drive measurable business impact for automotive clients.
- Connect the right talent to the right challenges, working within a global matrix environment to bring together best‑in‑class expertise.
- Work hand‑in‑hand with delivery leadership to ensure programmes are successfully shaped, mobilised and governed, anticipating risks, designing governance models and ensuring strategic alignment across complex, multi‑work‑stream engagements.
Delivery Partnership & Quality
- Work in close partnership with delivery leads to ensure high‑quality execution across all engagements.
- Provide guidance and escalation support as needed to guarantee client satisfaction and successful programme outcomes.
- Champion a culture of excellence, continuous improvement and shared ownership across multidisciplinary teams.
Automotive Expertise & Industry Insight
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in senior client relationship roles within digital consultancies, agencies or transformation organisations, operating at C‑suite and enterprise level.
- Strong track record working with automotive clients—OEMs, mobility providers, dealers or Tier‑1 suppliers—delivering digital, commerce or transformation initiatives.
- Relevant network across automotive brands is highly advantageous.
Strategic Relationship Builder
- Proven ability to develop deep, trust‑based relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Confident navigating complex organisations and aligning diverse teams behind shared goals.
- Skilled in listening, advising and communicating clearly to multiple audiences.
- Able to challenge constructively and guide clients through ambiguity with a consultative approach.
Commercial & Growth Leadership
- Experience managing multi‑million revenue portfolios and leading account planning, forecasting and account development.
- Strong commercial acumen—able to shape value‑driven proposals and negotiate strategic engagements.
- Motivated by winning new business and expanding existing partnerships.
- Evidenced of securing or overseeing seven‑figure+ programmes or multi‑year work.
Collaborative, Inclusive & Influential
- Comfortable working across a global matrix organisation, bringing together experts from strategy, design, tech and data.
- Open to feedback, inclusive in your approach and adept at influencing without authority.
Thought Leadership & Passion for Innovation
- Strong understanding of industry trends, mobility disruptions, digital platforms and emerging technologies shaping the automotive landscape.
- Passion for experience design, technology and how data & AI enable next‑generation connected customer experiences.
- Capable of representing Valtech's automotive perspective in industry events or thought‑leadership initiatives.
Communication & Executive Presence
- Excellent listener and communicator, able to articulate complex ideas simply and persuasively.
- Confident presenter who can shape compelling narratives and lead executive‑level conversations.
- Demonstrates gravitas, clarity and strong negotiation presence in senior forums.
