About QBE

At QBE, we get to the heart of what matters for our customers and we do it all with a human touch.

We’re an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries – which means we’re big enough for your ambitions, yet small enough for you to make a real impact. It’s an exciting time. We’re building momentum towards our vision to become the most consistent and innovative risk partner.

What if you could have a positive impact – at work and in the world? As part of the QBE team, you’ll get to spend every day working with people who are passionate, talented and kind.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

The opportunity

Are you passionate about building strong client relationships and long‑term partnerships with automotive dealers and dealer groups? We’re looking for an experienced Client Development Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving growth and delivering value through our leading automotive protection products and solutions.

What sets this opportunity apart? You’ll have autonomy in a field‑based role, combining strategic account management with business development, and the chance to influence success across your region.

Your new role

You’ll manage, develop and grow relationships with dealerships and key dealer groups in your territory. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll ensure our products – including Finance & Insurance (F&I) solutions, extended warranties, and Value‑Added Products (VAPs) – help dealers and OEMs achieve their goals. You’ll work closely with internal teams to deliver seamless client experiences and contribute to the country strategy.

Main responsibilities
  • Develop, increase and manage Automotive Protection business in line with company guidelines.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with dealers, ensuring alignment with their objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand our dealer network partnerships.
  • Develop and execute territory plans to achieve growth targets and strengthen market position.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and delivery excellence.
About you

This is more than a job; it’s a career opportunity. You’ll have the chance to develop and grow in your role, build lasting client relationships and contribute to our growth strategy.

  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence decision‑makers.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Self‑motivation and comfort working independently in a field‑based role.
Benefits

We offer a range of benefits to help provide holistic support for your work life, whatever your circumstances. As a QBE employee you will have access to and benefit from:

  • 30 days holiday a year with the option to buy up to 2 additional days.
  • Flexible working – balancing work and life is important so our flexible working opportunities are open to all, this can include part‑time, job share and compressed hours.
