Job description
Overview

Scrabster Harbour Trust is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified individuals or firms to provide Clerk to the Board services on a professional services basis. The Clerk plays a key role in supporting strong governance and ensuring the effective operation of the Board. As an independent trust port, Scrabster Harbour Trust serves the regional and local interests of Caithness, reinvesting all operating surpluses back into improving this strategically important maritime asset.

Responsibilities
  • Attend approximately 12 meetings per year in Scrabster or Thurso.
  • Prepare accurate minutes and maintain statutory records.
  • Offer guidance to the Chair and Trustees on governance and regulatory procedures.
  • Provide additional support to Board committees and the Trust Manager as required.
Contract and Fees

A three-year professional services agreement is anticipated, with fees agreed based on the proposed approach and scope.
