A local government authority in Scotland is seeking a skilled Clerical Assistant to provide clerical support in a primary or nursery school. You will ensure effective day-to-day operations, respond to procedural changes, and be the main point of contact for staff and visitors. Candidates must possess at least 4 qualifications at SCQF level 4, and be prepared to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership. This is a crucial role supporting the school environment.
We are looking for a highly skilled Clerical Assistant to provide front line clerical support in a primary or nursery school, acting as the focal point for staff and visitors. You will be responsible for responding to changes in procedures and IT systems and for ensuring the effective day‑to‑day running of the school office. As a Clerical Assistant, you will work under the direction and supervision of the Headteacher or Admin Assistant/Coordinator.

You are required to have a minimum of 4 qualifications at SCQF level 4, including English and Maths (e.g. National 4, Standard Grades at General Level or O Grades).
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
