We are looking for a detail‑orientated Cleaning Assistant / Housekeeper to join our team at The Grange Centre, a leading provider supporting people with learning disabilities to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

Hours: 35 hours per week, 7am – 3pm OR 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday with a 1 hour unpaid lunch.

Salary: £23,398 pa (with an increase due in April 2026).

Please note we are open to considering full‑time or part‑time candidates, so also have another advert live for 2 part‑time positions.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will ensure that our properties are always clean, hygienic, and well‑presented, creating a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

  • Vacuuming rooms, corridors, meeting rooms, and communal areas
  • You may be working in shared spaces, offices, teaching spaces, toilets, bathrooms and occasionally in residents rooms
  • Sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors
  • Dusting, polishing, and washing down surfaces
  • Cleaning glass, mirrors, and interior windows
  • Emptying waste bins across all designated areas
  • Ensuring all rooms and communal spaces are odour‑free
  • Cleaning and sanitising toilets and washroom facilities
  • Restocking toiletries and hygiene supplies
  • Follow an agreed cleaning schedule which will include periodic deep cleans
