Role Purpose

To carry out cleaning duties within the school, specifically covering offices and nursery areas, due to two current vacancies and one long-term staff absence. The role helps ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleaning offices, nursery rooms, and communal areas
• Hoovering, mopping, and general floor maintenance
• Wiping and sanitising desks, surfaces, and touch points
• Emptying bins and managing waste disposal
• Maintaining cleanliness to school and NCC standards
• Ensuring safe use of cleaning materials and equipment
• Following all health & safety and safeguarding procedures

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS check required
• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential
• Ability to work independently and reliably
• Good attention to detail and awareness of hygiene standards
