Job description

Pinnacle Group is looking for a dedicated School Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at one of our schools. You will be joining our Facilities Team at Methley Primary School LS26. Our Total Facilities Management team delivers integrated asset management and maintenance services across education, leisure, corporate, health and residential sectors. We focus on keeping facilities running smoothly, safely, and efficiently – helping our clients create spaces that work for everyone. Your role will involve general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste management to ensure that the internal school facilities are cleaned to the required standard as directed by the Facilities Assistant and/or Superintendent. You will be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellence. If you take pride in your work and have a passion for creating clean, safe spaces, we encourage you to apply. Hours for this position are 4 pm to 6.30 pm, Monday to Friday – 12.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning toilet facilities, hand basins and replenishing toilet paper, hand soap and towels
  • Damp‑wipe tables, chairs, desks, skirting boards, windowsills and hard surfaces
  • Vacuum all soft floors and carpets, including barrier matting
  • Damp & spot mopping, dusting, polishing of surfaces, fixtures and fittings, sanitising touch points, door handles, push plates
  • Ensure adherence to colour‑coding directives and regular replacement of mop heads, cloths and other equipment
  • Good knowledge, experience and attention to detail in cleaning services and equipment, including COSHH and Health and Safety
  • Good timekeeping and attendance are important
  • Ability to work to laid‑down schedules
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
  • Confirmation of appointment will be subject to completion of a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and references, Disability Confident
