Job description

Classroom Assistant (SEN) – Crowborough – Monday to Friday, 08:30am‑03:30pm – £89 per day.

Do you have a care background and want to support children to thrive within education? Do you have transferable skills which would be helpful in a classroom environment?

The Role:

• Work with students 1:1 or delivering sessions with small groups of students.
• Take children on local trips and visits.
• Engage with students who struggle socially, promoting lesson involvement.
• Manage heightened behaviours and keep children safe.
• Promote good behaviour practice.
• Celebrate success with students, teachers, and other relevant parties.
• Be part of therapy sessions or reflect on difficult periods.

The School:

We are working with a fantastic all-through SEN (special educational needs) school in the Crowborough area. Their aim is to ensure that all children can learn without fear of judgement and that they feel valued and seen. They are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team as classroom assistants. You may work within the Primary site, Secondary site or the Sixth Form.

We are currently recruiting for long‑term, short‑term and ad‑hoc positions. There is a role for every level of experience.

Availability:

• Monday – Friday (Full and Part Time)
• Must be available between 8.30am and 3.30pm
• Term Time only

Must have:

• Ability to work well independently and as a team
