A community healthcare provider in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced driver to support clinical teams. This role involves collecting units, ensuring they are operational for community services, and performing general maintenance duties. Candidates must hold a full Class C1 UK/EU licence with no more than 6 penalty points. The position also offers competitive pay, training support, and contributions to social care initiatives.
Hours: Rostered sessions according to the driver plan. There will be a requirement for weekend working.
Base: Dental Care Centre, Bedford Health Village, 3 Kimbolton Road, Bedford, MK40 2NT.
You will be responsible for collecting the unit from the base and driving to the rostered location, then setting up the unit on the outside to be available for the clinical teams.
You will be asked to assist during the day operating the tail lift and interact with community members as appropriate.
On return to base you will then be responsible for the disposal of all waste water and replenishing the portable fresh water tank.
Other responsibilities will include performing general maintenance activities, refuelling, interior and external cleaning and operational assessment of the vehicle.
An experienced driver with a full Class C1 UK/EA licence with no more than 6 penalty points, and previous experience of driving a larger vehicle.
Applicants should be organised and adaptable with excellent time management skills.
