Job summary

A fast-growing fibre optic company in Peterborough is seeking Civils Avoidance/TRR Operatives to help support expanding operations. The role involves identifying CBTs, housing cabling, and ensuring effective customer solutions while following safety protocols. Candidates should be enthusiastic, willing to learn, and able to work in diverse environments. Minimum one year of relevant experience is preferred. The position may require travel and working irregular hours. Accommodation may be provided for other locations within the UK.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year working in a similar role preferred.
  • Experience and a proven track record in a TRR environment.
  • Medically fit to carry out physical job in all weathers.

Responsibilities

Nano Fibre UK are looking for Civils Avoidance/TRR Operatives for the Peterborough area to help support us as we scale. We are a fast growing company who are committed to offering the best service to our customers from our engineers in this region. We are looking for enthusiastic and self-driven individuals to carry out TRR work to support us in delivering our customer promise. You may either be a current TRR Operative or someone who is currently a fibre broadband engineer who is looking to get into TRR work and are willing to learn. Either way Nano will support you in that next step in your career.

Key requirements:

  • You will have experience and a proven track record working in a TRR environment identifying allocated CBT’s and pulling cabling from chambers to customers property
  • You will be required to ensure our risk assessments are carried out and all processes are followed regarding permits and reporting blockages to the Civils teams.
  • You should show effective problem solving and interpersonal skills, a focus on teamwork and brilliant customer service.
  • You should possess good logical skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and be willing to find the best customer solutions possible.
  • Nano covers different areas of the country so you may have to travel some times.
  • The ability to work irregular hours and overtime to achieve our customer service targets is some times required.
  • You should be medically fit and able to carry out a physical job in all weathers.
  • Able to work in teams or alone to meet our SLA KPI’ s set by our partners.
  • Willing to work in other locations within the UK if required (accommodation provided)

Qualifications and experience

· Minimum of 1 year working in a similar role preferred.

Accreditations:

o SAOO2 – PIA Underground Safety (preferred)

o S7 – PIA Sub-Duct and Cable Installation (preferred)
