This fast paced business builds, owns, and operates flexible energy infrastructure to help balance the grid, supporting the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future.

The business is seeking a civil supervisor for a 12 month contract on an excitingproject in the North West.

This role is to act as the Principal Contractors Civil Supervisor and you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all civil construction works to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time and on budget. You will work closely with the Project Manager to oversee groundworks and concrete base installations,and some of your key responsibilities are detailed below.

Health and Safety. Responsible for implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations related to civil work.

Overseeing the civil installation

Ensuring Compliance with relevant regulations, designs, specifications, and drawings.

Quality Control and Inspection.

Conduct and record weekly site health and safety inspections.

Report all injuries and dangerous occurrences

Ensure that only authorised personnel are put to work, keeping records of operative’s qualifications, expiry dates and exclusions.

Maintain a tidy and safe site with good housekeeping and management of staff and contractors.

Ensure projects are being managed in accordance with the general and health and safety requirements of the Project Execution Plan

Contribute to project schedule development and close monitoring and control of the construction schedule Key to your success will be past experience working for a main or principal contractor, awareness of CDM requirements and strong interpersonal skills
