The role

A pivotal role, with a full copy of the Job Spec available on request, the Civil Sales Manager will:

  • Have responsibility for driving sales performance and hitting revenue targets in the civil engineering and construction materials sector.
  • Be experienced in building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, clients and key stakeholders within the civil engineering sector.
  • Bring on new business opportunities, expand an already large customer base and strengthen the company's position in the market.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and seamless delivery of services.
  • Deliver precise cost estimates for civil engineering and construction projects to support competitive and profitable tender submissions.
  • Lead the bid and tendering process to secure new projects, in line with company standards client requirements.
The person
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 3+ years of management experience, leading sales teams.
  • Strong sales and estimating experience in the civil engineering/construction sector.
  • Ability to read drawings and bar schedules.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
