A leading aerospace company in Pontyclun is seeking a Support Engineer to work within the Engineering team. The role involves providing technical support to maintenance technicians, compiling engineering documentation, and engaging in improvement projects. The successful candidate will work within the GE Aerospace Wales Engineering team in a Support Engineer capacity. The role is office based but requires a large percentage of time to be spent on the shop floor working with maintenance technicians. The scope of activities ranges broadly from providing day‑to‑day technical support to maintenance technicians to working on long‑term engineering projects, either as part of a team or in an individual capacity. The role will provide exposure to hardware from the GE90 and CFM56 product lines and requires effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver results across Engineering, Operations, Planning, Quality, Sourcing and EH&S. The position will require shift working including days, afternoons and one in three weekends.
