The Opportunity

We are representing a specialist engineering consultancy delivering civil, MEICA and multidisciplinary design solutions for major water companies across the Thames region. They are seeking a Civil Design Engineer to support projects across clean water and wastewater, including network improvements, rising mains, pumping stations and treatment works.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on design involvement, practical problem solving and being part of a collaborative technical environment.

What You Will Be Doing

• Developing civil designs for water and wastewater projects including site layouts, pipework, chambers, structures and general arrangements
• Supporting concept, outline and detailed design stages and contributing to coordinated multidisciplinary solutions
• Using survey data, ground investigation results and existing asset information to guide design decisions
• Preparing technical documentation including drawings, calculations, design notes and schedules
• Working closely with mechanical, electrical and process colleagues to ensure fully integrated designs
• Engaging with project managers, engineers and suppliers to ensure designs are practical, buildable and compliant
• Supporting design reviews and helping develop safe, efficient and high‑quality design outputs
• Assisting with design‑related technical queries during project delivery
