Overview

The salary for this role is £12.40 per hour. The festive season at Boots is one of our most exciting and important times of the year, and it simply couldn't happen without the energy, warmth and dedication of our store teams. As a Christmas Customer Assistant, you'll be at the heart of the action, greeting customers with a smile, offering product and gift advice, and creating a memorable experience that keeps customers coming back all year round. This role is a temporary contract, with potential for a permanent role later depending on local opportunities.

About the role

You will work in a Boots store and report to the Assistant or Store Manager, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Customer Interaction: You\'ll offer thoughtful advice, recommend products and highlight our amazing offers to ensure everyone has an enjoyable shopping experience.
  • Till Operation: You\'ll be involved in wrapping up purchases at the counter or supporting self-checkout systems with energy and efficiency.
  • Stock Management: You\'ll keep shelves full so customers can find what they need during the busiest shopping season.
  • Store Presentation: Ensure every area looks its best.
  • Online order support: You may assist with deliveries, picking and packing for online orders as needed.
What you\'ll need to have

Full training is provided, but these are essential skills or experience needed to succeed:

  • Available to work Bank Holidays including Black Friday week and weekend, Cyber Monday, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day.
  • Customer Service Skills: Comfortable approaching customers and providing a personalised experience.
  • Operations Ready: Ability to balance customer care with daily shopfloor and operational tasks.
  • Tech-Savvy: Ability to learn and use new technology, including handheld devices, tills and self-checkouts.

We are recruiting Christmas Customer Advisors for our Stockton On Tees, Teeside Retail Park store. We are looking for candidates to start from September onwards with various shift patterns available.
