Children & Young People Trainee Assessor (CYP)

Location: Cardiff (Head Office) | Contract: Full-time, Permanent | Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00-16:30 | Salary: £24,638 - £25,709

About the Role

We are looking for a Trainee Assessor to support apprenticeship learners in Children & Young People services. You will provide structured guidance, assess workplace evidence, and help learners achieve their qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support learners throughout their apprenticeship journey
  • Travel to workplaces across the region for assessments
  • Create Individual Learning Plans and track progress
  • Maintain accurate records for compliance
  • Contribute to performance targets and learner success
What We’re Looking For
Essential
  • NVQ/QCF level 3 qualification or equivalent in health and social care (Children and Young People)
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
  • DBS check (cost covered)
Desirable
  • Welsh language skills
  • EWC registration or prior teaching experience
  • Teaching/assessing qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent)
