You would need to be a driver with access to a vehicle, with class 1 business insurance.

Task and duties
  • Pick my son up from after‑school club and take him home 2 nights per week.
  • Support my son within the home on these evenings and do tasks he enjoys such as jigsaws, baking and reading.
  • Help and encourage with his feeding and help getting ready for bed, putting on PJs and brushing teeth.
  • Prompt him to take his evening medications.
  • Encourage him to do tasks for himself and make his own decisions.
  • Complete any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role, as discussed and mutually agreed.
  • Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed.
What you can expect from me
  • A safe, friendly, and welcoming workplace where you will be valued.
  • Flexibility with working hours.
  • Supervision and support.
  • Access to training and learning opportunities.
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro‑rata).
  • Competitive rates of pay.
  • Knowing that you make a difference to my quality of life.
The kind of person I am looking for is someone who
  • Has a driving licence, access to a vehicle and class 1 business insurance.
  • Will promote and support confidence and independence.
  • Has a person‑centred approach and a genuine interest in supporting people to achieve their goals.
  • Can follow instructions and will establish a professional standard of care, always maintained.
  • Will not use their personal mobile phone at work unless in an emergency.
  • Is trustworthy, kind, punctual and reliable.
  • Is patient and supportive with good listening skills and an ability to provide non‑judgemental emotional support.
  • Maintains confidentiality and respects the privacy of the family, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role.
