Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist or an experienced Band 5 Therapist to work with an innovative and supportive team in Peterborough.

Peterborough speech and language therapy service is a small team based in a diverse city with convenient transport links. The service prioritises supervision and support, CPD opportunities and a breadth of caseload experience for therapists. Feedback from current Band 5 Therapists highlights the welcoming and supportive team and the opportunity to develop diverse skills across paediatric speech and language therapy.

Responsibilities

• Manage an independent clinical caseload of pre-school and school-aged children in community settings, which may include community clinics, pre-school settings, mainstream and special schools in and around Peterborough.
• Work with children who have a range of difficulties in understanding and/or using speech and language.
• Contribute to the delivery of NHS services within community settings, aligned with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust guidelines.

Qualifications and experience

• Newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist or an experienced Band 5 Therapist.
