Overview

Children’s Social Work, Placement Officer, Wokingham; Pay rate to £30 per hour; Contract role, Local Authority Social Care, Brokerage.

Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Placement Officer / Brokerage Officer in Wokingham. This is to work in a Local Authority Social Care Team, and you will need experience of the same role.

Responsibilities
  • Placements Officer – Children’s Services
  • 3-month contract.
  • Experience of working in Children’s Social Care or equivalent.
  • We are looking for someone with prior children’s brokerage experience
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under pressure and be extremely well organised, taking a pro-active approach to your workload
  • Experience of working in a complex multi-agency environment including working with health, voluntary and community sector, District and Borough Councils and the independent sector.
  • Able to respond positively and professionally to referrals by Social Workers, ensuring the quality of information enables the identification of placements that meet the child’s or young person’s assessed needs.
  • Have due regard to health and safety in relation to self and children in care, whilst identifying potential placements.
