Job Overview

Neway International, in partnership with Isle of Wight Council’s Children’s Services directorate, is seeking a Social Worker – Level 3 (Social Care Qualified) for a temporary placement while recruitment is underway.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments of children and families in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring safeguarding and welfare are prioritised.
  • Provide direct support and intervention to children and families, working collaboratively with partner agencies.
  • Manage a varied caseload, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with legislation and council policies.
  • Contribute to multi‑agency meetings, case conferences, and reviews.
  • Deliver professional advice and guidance to colleagues and partner organisations.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the council's values, equalities policies, and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration.
  • Experience working within Children’s Services or a similar statutory social care environment.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.

Employment Details

  • Hours: 37 per week
  • Pay rates: PAYE: £32.00 per hour; Limited/Umbrella: £41.75 per hour
