Job summary

A residential care company in Tilbury is seeking a Children's Residential Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of two homes. You will manage staff, ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, and support children and young people in their daily routines. Ideal candidates will have management experience in a children's home and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.

Overview

Temp All Staffing are currently recruiting a Children’s Residential Home Manager on behalf of our client. Our client is an Ofsted registered company who provide long term residential care to children and young people with diverse needs including behavioural difficulties. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a one-bed service children’s homes whilst supporting and supervising a team of residential and senior support workers in providing high quality and good standards of care to the home’s children and young people.

The Role

Our successful candidates will:

  • Manage the day to day running of two children’s residential home
  • Ensure and maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation
  • Organise, plan and lead shifts
  • Responsibility for staff performance, training and support
  • Work in line with children and young people’s care plans
  • Maintain administrative records
  • Encourage independence and support vulnerable individuals with their daily routines and activities
Your Experience / Requirements
  • 2 years previous management experience within a children’s home environment within the last 5 years, ideally within an EBD home
  • Previous experience in registering a children’s residential home
  • 3 years’ experience working in children’s residential home
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services;
  • Full UK drivers license
  • Knowledge of working to Ofsted regulations
