We are seeking a paediatric registered nurse (band 6) with experience or interest in long‑term conditions to join the children's epilepsy team. The post is a 37.5‑hour post based at Longsight Health Centre and Charlestown Health Centre, but flexible working can be discussed at interview. The role involves delivering high‑quality health care, education and support to children and families within the home, school and various community settings.
Key responsibilities include assessing and delivering care, developing programmes of care for children and young people with confirmed diagnosis of epilepsy, supporting the team leader and Advanced Clinical Practitioner, and acting in the absence of the team leader to maintain agreed policies and clinical standards.
Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sound theoretical evidence‑based knowledge, and the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role involves lone working; robust safeguarding policies are in place. A full driving licence and access to a car are required.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and will require a submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
