A leading health and social care provider in the UK is seeking dedicated care professionals to work with children and young people in residential and community settings. You will provide emotional and physical support, assist with care plans and daily routines, and ensure the safety and well-being of the service users. Experience with challenging behavior and disabilities is beneficial. This role offers competitive pay, training opportunities, and flexible shift options.
Within this role you will be working with children in residential settings, as well as in the community. You will be working with a minimum staffing ratio of 2:1. This ensures the safety of a young service user, as well as protecting staff.
For this role, you will need to have good attention to detail, writing detailed daily notes. This will record things such as the service user's emotions, any interactions with colleagues/family members, conversations, food diaries and the daily routine of the service user. The role will require you to partake in activities with the young person and help to manage their money, ensuring receipts are kept for each transaction.
You will need to be able to identify and report any safeguarding issues that may arise in relation to the young person, as well as aiding in their development and keeping them on track. Within the role you will deal with behaviour that can challenge, as well as a range of mental, physical and learning disabilities, so experience in a similar would be advantageous.
