Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a healthcare assistant with children who have mental health needs.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child welfare practices.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • In date PMVA training.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent) or 3 years experience are needed.
  • Personal Business car insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional, social, and practical support to children in care.
  • Assist with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
