Child psychotherapy is well-recognised in 0-5 team and in the wider CAMHS service. The post-holder will become a member of the South Beds CAPTS discipline group which includes Senior Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists providing service supervision and clinical supervision; Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Trainees; and Assistant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists (ACAPT).

The post holder will be in a unique position to be part of this exciting new development within our innovative and forward-thinking CAMHS and Luton multi-agency Family Hub initiative, led by Public Health, with ELFT CAMHS as a core partner.

The post holder will work within the comprehensive stepped care model of CAMH Service delivered by ELFT CAMHS in the locality. CAMH CAS provides a resilience and community based early intervention with the 0-5s team and multi-agency colleagues within universal, targeted and specialist services.

This post is designed specifically to support the development of the Luton CAMHS 0-5 Team community pathway, contributing to the day-to-day operational management of the CAMHS 0-5 Team service, offering flexible, evidence-based episodes of care, assessments and treatments, including group-work, work discussion groups, reflective practice groups, specialist mental health consultation, advice and training.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people’s lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
