Job description
Overview

This is a new post in the crisis & intensive home treatment service, an alternative to admission to a CAMHS ward, delivered by the Kent and Sussex Provider Collaborative. The role is for a Consultant Psychiatrist who will work with the multidisciplinary team and provide clinical leadership alongside senior MDT colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Lead clinically and work as a proactive member of a full multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to the leadership team and help to continually develop the acute care pathway.
  • Work alongside other Consultants and Specialty Doctors in Sussex CAMHS and participate in the Trust‑wide Consultant network.
  • Contribute to the CAMHS Psychiatry on‑call rota.
  • Deliver safe and effective care for young people aged 12–18 as an alternative to admission or supported discharge from an inpatient bed.
Salary & Benefits
  • Recruitment and Retention payment: £15,000 upon recruitment, £10,000 each at 12, 24 and 36 months (pro‑rated for part‑time).
  • Relocation allowance of up to £8,000.

Successful candidates normally start at the bottom of the pay scale unless they can evidence previous NHS experience in a similar role.
