Job description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for effective cost control, risk management and planning organizational financial strategies. The incumbent will oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic functions of the Finance, Accounts, Tax & VAT departments, supervising a large team across the Head Office (Dhaka), Factory and branches.

Responsibilities
  • Independently lead and professionalize the Accounts, Finance and Audit teams by ensuring accountability, accuracy and timely reporting; actively participate in the company's business planning and fund arrangement processes.
  • Lead Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost & Credit Control, Margin Analysis, Costing & Profitability Analysis, and Management Reporting.
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end financial closing after bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and statutory accounts.
  • Strengthen the finance team to execute financial policy and accounting procedures both manually and digitally.
  • Prepare and submit applications to Commercial Banks for financial assistance (Term Loans, Short-Term Deposits etc.) and follow up for sanctions, documentation and disbursement.
  • Ensure full compliance with Income Tax and VAT regulations.
  • Review all financial records, systems and internal control processes in line with accounting standards.
  • Evaluate the Group's financial condition and recommend viable alternatives to establish credibility and efficiency.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements for internal financial reporting to support Management decision-making.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Management.
