Job description
Overview

Your role & impact:

As our CFO, you'll join Tactile at a pivotal point in time. Your main mission is to transform our Finance department into a scalable, strategic business partner, prepping Tactile for our next growth phase. You will have complete ownership of our finances and become a key part of our core leadership team. You will influence our growth roadmap, operations and financial architecture, which will impact the future of Tactile Games.

Together with your two-person team, you'll maintain a strong overview of day-to-day operational costs to ensure reliable and timely reporting, provide clear insight into performance, profitability, and business drivers, and oversee and optimise our financial structure and reporting across our studios in Denmark, UK, Spain and Cyprus.

So, if you're driven by a fast-paced, dynamic, high-trust culture, this could be the fitting piece for you. Please note that this role is based in our beautiful Copenhagen office and therefore requires relocation if you are coming from outside of Denmark.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of both financial and operational performance
  • Secure compliance with relevant standards and rules within tax and VAT
  • Support and report to leadership on strategic decisions (budgets, accounts, etc.)
  • Coach leaders, reshape processes, and implement systems that simplify, scale, and support
  • Drive our asset allocation strategy
  • Liaise with our investors, accountants and other external partners
  • Manage our banking relationships
  • Budget and control across all departments at Tactile
  • Prepare annual reports for our daughter companies in close collaboration with the local accountants, ensuring the reports are delivered on time and in line with local requirements
  • Lead a team of 2 colleagues within our Finance department - our Finance Manager and Financial Controller
What we're looking for

You're not looking for an easy ride or a private office space. You are a self-driven strategic enabler who thrives at the intersection of finance and business strategy. You believe strong leadership and collaboration are essential to building high-performing, accountable teams. You'll spar with the CEO on investment strategies, asset allocation and risk management. Your mission isn't control - it's clarity, enablement, and action. You also have:

  • Proven experience as a CFO or a senior financial leader, ideally in a scaling tech company
  • Deep understanding of scale-up finance, currency and asset allocation, and running financial operations
  • The ability to align financial strategies with business objectives to ensure that key decisions are made with a long-term value-driven approach
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Leadership experience - You're passionate about developing both people and organisations

And, most importantly, you're not looking for command-and-control - you're hungry for autonomy, accountability, and real impact!

Nice to have
  • A track record of working in Denmark and a strong understanding of the Danish tax law
  • Background in data or strong analytical skills (Maybe you started off your career as a data analyst or scientist?)
  • Experience working internationally
What's in it for you?
  • Beautiful office space with probably the best view in Copenhagen.
  • Pension and private health insurance.
  • A chance to work with the latest tools and technology.
  • Opportunities for individual growth with development talks as well as workshops, books and courses.
  • Daily, healthy organic breakfast and lunch prepared by our in-house chefs.
  • Social activities, including game nights, book club, Friday bar and more.
  • Relocation package if you are coming from outside of Denmark.
  • Free Danish lessons with our in-house Danish teacher.

We are pretty thorough with our hiring process. It is important to us that we choose new Tactilers carefully - just as it is vital to ensure that we are the right place for you. We want to ensure you have a great candidate experience whilst in our recruitment process. We will do everything we can within reason to make sure that your interview takes place in an environment that fairly and accurately assesses your skills. If you need assistance or accommodation, please let us know. We look forward to receiving your application!
