Overview

The Egmont Trust is a UK registered charity established in 2005 by professionals with a background from Financial Services and International Development. It has worked at the heart of communities across sub-Saharan Africa to improve the lives of children, women and families affected by HIV and AIDS. Over £15 million has been disbursed to date through more than 130 grassroots Partners and 100% of donations go directly to frontline projects. Egmont operates in six countries in the region with the highest infection rates. More information is available at www.egmonttrust.org.

The Role

The Chief Executive supports the Trustees in developing the strategic plan and delivering the annual plan. The role provides executive leadership to the Egmont team, with responsibilities covering fundraising, programmes, finance, HR and systems.

Role Requirements

We are looking for a leader with:

  • a demonstrable track record of outstanding leadership with experience of business development, fundraising, programme implementation and governance.
  • a commitment to an approach driven by strong financial disciplines with a familiarity of Financial Services.
  • experience of effectively managing a small international team working remotely.
  • an understanding of the operating environment in countries of Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • a knowledge of the issues relating to HIV and AIDS.
