ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a Chief Engineer from the space industry interested in a dedicated Chief Engineer 1‑3 year development plan tailored to you and the full geospatial product and cloud‑based solutions life cycle?

Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a Chief Engineer who will integrate into multiple projects, gain insight into interdepartmental interactions and foster transparent communication with key clients. This role involves participating and contributing to the organisational capabilities of geospatial products (aimed at the MOD ISTARI and Commercial Sectors) and services portfolio design and development.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
  • Support a wide range of products at bid stage, select, propose and finally approve the key technologies with the client
  • Capture customer and portfolio requirements, generate corresponding solutions and produce technical specifications
  • Consider appropriate engineering approaches and select the relevant ones to meet program maturity milestones
  • Accountable for the technical Work Breakdown Structure development schedule and technical risk management plan
  • Continuously monitor progress, ensure timely resolution of technical issues and lead engineering change management
ABOUT YOU
  • Experienced in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance space domain activity
  • Experience of System Engineer practices and delivery along the product life cycle and associated methods
  • Passionate about people management for delivery and development
  • Demonstrable practical application of delivery in the respect of Quality, Time, and Cost principles
  • Interested in researching other approaches and sharing knowledge with the team
