Qualifications

  • Must have a valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Location

The role will be based in Thirsk covering the North Yorkshire region.

Work type

37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

Where you fit in
Responsibilities
  • Safely and competently complete assigned tasks related to chemical deliveries and receipt, ensuring policies & procedures are adhered to
  • Respond to chemical spills or leaks with appropriate spill response equipment and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of chemicals, including delivery dates, quantities and batch numbers
  • Ensure that Material Safety Data Sheets are available and updated for all chemicals received
  • Monitor chemical inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock to avoid shortages or excesses
Skills & Qualifications
  • Travel to various operational sites as part of daily activities; a full valid UK driving licence is required (no more than 6 points)
  • Practical mindset, enjoy working outdoors in all weathers, hands‑on approach to tasks
  • Experience using IT systems (Microsoft Office, Toughbook or PC) to capture site information
  • Work independently and as part of a team, with good time‑management and workload management skills
  • Comfortable questioning unsafe working practices and reporting to management
  • Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, communication and positive attitude
  • Experience of operating in a site‑based/technical role
  • Relevant task competence training (e.g. Phosphorous Technical training, asset specific training)
  • Safety training & qualifications: confined spaces, working at heights, lone worker, COSHH, manual handling, etc.
